On Monday, June 17, the Maroon 5 frontman declared his favorite to take home the win on Tuesday night’s finale: 16-year-old Danielle Bradbery.

“The crazy thing about your voice is it’s just so unbelievably perfect and powerful,” he told a glowing Bradbery after she finished performing her rendition of “Maybe It Was Memphis.” “It’s one of the better voices I think I’ve ever heard live. …And I’m just gonna go ahead and say, I think Danielle’s [the] winner of this thing.”

A woman whose false claim of rape sent former prep football star Brian Banks to prison was ordered to pay a $2.6 million judgment in connection with the case.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Wanetta Gibson (seen below) to pay a $1.5 million, plus an additional $1.1 million in fees, including for making a false claim and court-related costs.

Gibson was a former high-school acquaintance of Banks in 2002 when she accused him of raping her at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, according to the California Innocence Project, an organization that helped exonerate Banks.

Gibson sued the Long Beach Unified School District claiming the school was not safe and won a $1.5 million settlement.

On February 27th, 2011 Brian was contacted by the alleged victim via a Facebook  friend request and private message wanting to reconcile their friendship and as she put it, “let bygones be bygones.” Brian, realizing the opportunity to prove his innocence, falls to his knees, praying to God for an answer. And with that, his proceeded to play the role of interest. They agreed to meet. Brian immediately contacted a local private investigator to video and audio record the meeting.

Gibson ultimately said she lied and made up the story so  a judge reversed Banks’ conviction on May 24, 2012.

After 5 years and 2 months of incarceration,  nearly 5 years on strict parole and sex offender registration, an electronic GPS device attached to his ankle,  and a number of other crazy circumstances, Brian has finally been EXONERATED!

Can you imagine how many black men are in prison doing time,for crimes they didn’t commit? This is just one of many cases,some still remain wrongfully convicted & imprisoned due to an unjust system.

Banks was picked up and signed this year to play with the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

Taking time from her hotly selling‘Set the World On Fire’ tour, Keys unveils a Vegas themed visual to accompany the ballad. But, while the Bruno Mars co-penned tune has long been a critic and fan favorite, its seen a very slow start on charts – making its first impact this month.It may be time for Alicia Keys to Spice up her music a beat #StepOutTheBox Alot of her music is starting to sound the same.

I love the song, but I definitely don’t see it making any major moves up the Charts.

Now that it has a Robert Hales-directed video in tow, will that be enough to help the number win on the Hot 100?

50 Cent will be the executive producer on the upcoming Starz television series “Power.”

A “Gotham nightclub owner who skirts the line between legitimacy and criminality” is the premise of the drama. Fiddy will co-executive produce the series with Mark Canton (“300″) and Randall Emmett (“End Of Watch”). The trio has worked together before on “Freelancers” and the upcoming “The Tomb.” To boot, Courtney Kemp (“The Good Wife”) will write the script.

It’s been reported by THR that Starz ordered the first episodes of the drama on Friday.

Starz CEO Chris Albrecht commented on the new addition to their premium cable network, “We are thrilled to add ‘Power’ to our growing original programming lineup for 2014. Curtis has a unique and specific vision for the series, lending it an authenticity and voice rarely seen. Courtney has created a rich world and characters not often explored in contemporary drama. There is a rawness and soul to the character of Ghost as he struggles to live between these two worlds that we believe will leave an indelible mark on the audience and stay with them after the credits roll.”

50 Cent also released a statement on the new venture, “This is a passion project for me, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have found a home with Starz. I look forward to working with this incredibly talented team on making ‘Power’ a hit show.

A-Trak has had a pretty respectable career in hip hop. He was the first DJ to win all three major DJ competition titles, served as Kanye’s tour DJ (heavily influencing the sound of 2007′s Graduation), co-founded Fool’s Gold records (the home of Danny brown, Killer Mike, and Action Bronson), and has released plenty of his own music as well.

Despite his close ties to Kanye, A-Trak could not remain silent on his feelings about Jay-Z’s new Samsung commercial, which he was not impressed with. “That Samsung shit is corny” the DJ tweeted last night, before retweeting a picture suggesting Jay-Z’s disconnect from current hip hop.

Announcing your new album in a cell phone commercial complete with semi-scripted (or at least contrived) dialogue certainly isn’t as exciting as say, projecting your video in random locations worldwide, but I mean, the beats sounded pretty good, right?

Jay-Z has yet to respond to A-Trak’s comments.

But one thing for sure is, No One has anything BAD to  say about Jay Z’s Homie Usher Raymonds New Samsung Smart Tv Commercial, if you haven’t seen it check it out below.

Always a stickler on preventing leaks, Kanye West and his careful camp appeared to have changed their tune for the rapper’s sixth studio album Yeezus, which leaked online Friday ahead of its June 18 release.

The leak wasn’t surprising. Let’s take West’s impromptu Yeezus listening party in New York City this week, for example, which Mashable attended. As the album blared from the speakers and his light gray T-shirt progressively turned darker as sweat secreted off his body, the 100 or so attendees inside Milk Studios freely used their phones to record their surroundings — most importantly, the sounds.

When asked whether attendees could record audio and video, someone at West’s label said they didn’t have any qualms with the music leaking. West continued this nonchalant mentality when he grabbed the mic at several occasions to talk about Yeezus.

“I have this new strategy. It’s called no strategy,” West said.

“This album is all about giving. This whole process is all about giving no f*cks at all.” Sounds like a True #Gemini & he really hasn’t been the same since the death of his mother.

In the past, this entire process was infused with precautionary measures to prevent online pirates from releasing his upcoming music. His team limited the number of people who worked on the album to avoiding transferring files via email, stored files on secure external hard drives and skipped the digital pre-order process.

Those layers of security seemingly slipped up — or simply weren’t employed this time. Finally,music with a message…
