T I Joins the Cast Kelsey Grammers Starz series, Boss!!!!

TI will portray a former gangbanger, looking for a career in Chicago’s City Hall, according to Deadline. The industry site reports that T.I. will be “the conduit between a local Alderman and the only group powerful enough to function as a grassroots organization in the projects – gangs.”"Boss” debuted in October and stars Kelsey Grammer as ruthless Chicago mayor Tom Kane. The role earned the “Frasier” actor his third Golden Globe Award. The show also received a nod for Best Television Series – Drama.
T.I. has previously appeared in films like “Takers,” “American Gangster” and “ATL.” In 2009, T.I. also appeared in an MTV reality show called “T.I.’s Road to Redemption: 45 Days to Go,” which chronicled his attempts to help others avoid his mistakes.
The network had no immediate comment on the reports.
T.I. was released from a halfway house in September after spending 10 months in federal prison on a probation violation.
The rapper and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested on drug charges in September 2010. The two were detained after a traffic stop in Los Angeles. Authorities said four ecstasy pills were found in their vehicle.
A federal judge ruled T.I. had violated the terms of his probation, stemming from a previous gun charge, and sentenced him to prison for 11 months, which marked his second stint behind bars. Drug charges against the pair were dropped. His wife completed a drug diversion program and no further legal action was taken against her.
The rapper made a surprise appearance at a Taylor Swift concert in October, where he and the country star sang his hit single, “Live Your Life.”
On March 16, T.I. confirmed that he has collaborated on a song with Taylor Swift and fellow Grand Hustle rapper B.o.B.
“Taylor’s extended Hustle Gang. She a part of the crew. She just ain’t got her dog tags yet, but she’s a part of the crew tho,” T.I. told MTV at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas.
“Boss” debuted in October on the Starz network. This should be Great.
